Answers to frequently asked questions

How much does it cost?

Registration Fee: $40

Before-school care is $10 per day; after-school care is also $10 per day. Before- and after-school care combined cost is $20.  For days when school is not in session (i.e. Snow Day, Teacher In-Service, Records Day, etc.) the cost is $35.00 full day and $25.00 half day.

What are the hours of operation?

Before- and After-School Care
Morning Hours:  6:30am – 8:45am
Afternoon Hours:  3:30pm – 6:00pm
Half Day Conferences:  12:00pm – 6:00pm
In-Service Full Day:  6:30am – 6:00pm
Snow Days:  6:30am – 6:00pm

Summer Program
Daily Hours:  6:30am – 6:00pm Monday-Friday

What does a typical day consist of?

School Year:  A typical daily routine consists of self-directed play, teacher instructed activities, outdoor play and large/small group activities.
Summer:  A typical daily routine consists of self-directed play, teacher instructed activities, outdoor play, snack times, large/small group activities, lunch time and an array of weekly field trips.

What is the admissions policy?

All state required forms below must be completed in full, signed, and received before a child is able to attend.  Prior to re-enrolling, a child’s account must be up to date with no outstanding balance.

Upon enrollment, parents agree to a set weekly schedule for their child.  Tuition is based according to the schedule.  No credits will be issued for absences.

 Are there any additional program fees?

Yes.

Late Fee:  A $25 late fee will be applied for failure to pay invoices on time and in full.
Non-Sufficient Funds: A $30 service fee is applied for all returned checks.
Year-End Statements:  A year end statement for the previous year’s expenses is provided in January at no cost.  Additional statement request is made available for a fee of $5 per statement.

Is breakfast, lunch, or snack available?

Breakfast: SLPS Food Service Department provides breakfast for students at a small cost.  If you wish for your child to take part in breakfast, please see staff to make arrangements. Breakfast is not served during the summer, snow days, or in-service days.
Snacks: After school snacks are provided to students by Community Child Care.  Snacks are a healthy assortment of granola bars, crackers, yogurt, pretzels, etc.  Juice and water are also supplied.
Lunch:  No lunch is provided by Community Child Care.  A sack lunch from home is needed for half days, extended full days, and during the summer.
