Recreation Commission

In a cooperative effort and venture between the Township of Spring Lake, the Township of Crockery, the Village of Spring Lake and Spring Lake Public Schools, the Greater Spring Lake Area Recreation Commission was established in 1972.  The Commission is charged with planning, promoting, coordinating and operating indoor and outdoor recreation programs, at a reasonable cost, to the citizens of the community.

The Spring Lake Schools Foundation was founded in 1983 with a mission to supplement the school district’s available funding to create innovative educational opportunities and maintain academic excellence. Spring Lake Child Care

Our program is designed for children in grades K-6th and is located at Spring Lake Middle School.  Students enjoy a variety of fun activities including games, sports, crafts, gym, computers, and the great outdoors. Breakfast may be purchased through the food service department at an additional cost. An afternoon snack is provided by the program.

Great Start Readiness Program

The Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP), provides high quality preschool education to children four years old by September 1st. Designed to alleviate strain for lower income families, GSRP offers access according to family size vs. income. Over-income families may also be eligible for a sliding scale tuition fee, based on additional qualifying factors. Fill out an application to enroll your child.

Learning Tree Preschool Registration Information

The Tri-Cities Family YMCA Learning Tree Preschool will offer full day and half day pre-K programs at Holmes Elementary and SL Intermediate schools for the 2019-20 school year.  Spring Lake school district residents may apply beginning February 4.

Fitness and Aquatic Center
