Walking for Inclusion: 2nd Annual KATwalk Brings Intermediate and Middle School Together
The track at Spring Lake High School was filled with energy and encouragement Friday, September 18, as Intermediate and Middle School students and staff gathered for the 2nd annual KATwalk. The event brought the two campuses together for a morning dedicated to celebrating inclusion, supporting peers, and putting community values into action.
The centerpiece of this year's walk focused on supporting 6th grader Benji Bator and raising vital funds and awareness for KAT6A research. Walking side-by-side, students and staff turned laps around the track, cheering each other on and demonstrating the compassionate culture that defines the district.
Through the combined efforts of students, educators, and local families, the fundraiser highlighted how Laker Pride extends far beyond the classroom. The district extends its sincere thanks to everyone who participated, donated, and helped make this year's KATwalk a resounding success.
