Spring Lake Students Explore High-Demand Careers at MICareerQuest
Career fairs aren’t what they used to be—they’re even better! Spring Lake students recently traveled to Grand Rapids for MICareerQuest, a unique, hands-on experience designed to introduce them to in-demand careers across a variety of industries.
With over 250 careers represented by more than 100 employers, students had the chance to explore fields ranging from healthcare and manufacturing to IT and construction. Unlike traditional career fairs, MICareerQuest allows students to engage directly with professionals, test out tools and technology, and see firsthand what different careers entail.
This exciting field trip was a perfect fit for our business classes, giving students a real-world look at the job market and the skills that employers are seeking. By stepping out of the classroom and into interactive career stations, students gained valuable insight into potential career paths—some they may have never considered before!
Opportunities like MICareerQuest are essential for preparing students for the future, helping them connect classroom learning with real-world applications. As Spring Lake Public Schools continues to emphasize career readiness, experiences like this ensure our students are well-informed and excited about the possibilities ahead.
We’re proud of our students for diving into this experience, and we can’t wait to see where their career journeys take them!
