Spring Lake Students Explore Bright Futures at Two Campuses

Recently, Spring Lake High School students took an exciting step toward their futures, exploring two outstanding campuses in one day!

The adventure began at the University of Michigan, where students immersed themselves in the cutting-edge world of microcomputers. They had the opportunity to learn about the intricate science behind these powerful devices and explore how they impact everything from healthcare to entertainment. Hands-on activities and conversations with university students and professors inspired Spring Lake students to imagine themselves as future innovators in technology and engineering.

At the same time, a different group of students visited Muskegon Community College, where they explored applied technology fields like welding and electrical systems. Students were able to see these high-demand trades in action. From hearing directly from professionals, students gained an appreciation for the craftsmanship and expertise these fields require.

At Spring Lake Public Schools, we believe in preparing students for a wide variety of career paths. Whether their dreams involve advanced university research or hands-on technical work, experiences like these help them see the possibilities ahead.

We are proud of our Lakers and their eagerness to explore the future.
