Spring Lake Middle School Students Learn About the OK2Say Program
Recently, Spring Lake Middle School students participated in an insightful presentation on Michigan’s OK2Say program, an initiative designed to prioritize student safety through anonymous reporting. This program, which allows students to confidentially share concerns about their own or others' safety, has been making a significant impact across the state.
During the presentation, students learned about the history of OK2Say, how it reaches young people across Michigan, and how the program ensures privacy for anyone who uses it. This overview provided students with a strong understanding of the importance of speaking up and looking out for one another. The session empowered students to recognize when to seek help and offered them a safe channel to voice concerns about anything affecting their well-being.
Following the presentation, students reflected on their major takeaways, expressing an appreciation for a program that truly prioritizes their safety and privacy. It was clear that OK2Say left a positive impression, inspiring a sense of responsibility and reassurance.
At Spring Lake Public Schools, we’re proud to introduce students to valuable resources like OK2Say, which reinforces our commitment to a safe, supportive school environment.
