Spring Lake Middle School Math Club Wins 1st Place at MATHCOUNTS Competition

Spring Lake Middle School’s Math Club proved their skills in a big way, taking 1st place out of nine area schools at the MATHCOUNTS competition at Muskegon Community College! Competing against 78 students, Jacob Koratich earned 1st place individually, while Jillian Grevengoed placed 3rd, showcasing incredible problem-solving abilities.

MATHCOUNTS is a prestigious national program that pushes students in grades 6-8 to tackle challenging math problems in algebra, geometry, probability, and beyond. With four intense rounds of competition, students must think critically and work as a team to succeed.

A huge thank you to Ms. Adrian, the club’s dedicated adviser, for her guidance and support in helping students reach their full potential.

We are so proud of our Lakers for their hard work, teamwork, and problem-solving excellence. Congratulations on this outstanding achievement!

Go Lakers!
