Setting the Foundation: Open House Night Welcomes Holmes and Jeffers Families

Open House night at Holmes and Jeffers Elementary serves as the official bridge into the new school year, bringing staff, students, and families together to establish a strong working partnership. It is an evening designed to turn early-season anticipation into familiarity, setting a clear, confident trajectory for the months ahead.

Walking through the hallways, the full continuum of the elementary journey was on display:

  • First Milestones: Preschool and Kindergarten parents navigated the hallways alongside their children, touring classrooms, locating cubbies, and meeting the teachers who will guide their entry into public education.

  • Student Leadership: Down the hall, returning 4th graders stepped in with the ease of seasoned veterans, eager to showcase their spaces and lead the way for younger peers.

  • Family Partnerships: Teachers and parents connected directly, laying the groundwork for clear communication and shared goals before the first bell rings.

Beyond finding desks and dropping off supplies, Open House establishes the culture of our elementary buildings. It gives students a sense of ownership over their learning environment and reassures families that their children are surrounded by a dedicated team of educators.

As the new academic year begins, both campuses are fully prepared to guide our youngest Lakers through another year of academic progress and personal growth. Welcome back, Holmes and Jeffers families!
