PBIS Winners Enjoy Exciting Trip to Grand Rapids Griffins Game
At Spring Lake Public Schools, positive actions lead to positive rewards—and for a group of lucky students, that reward was a memorable trip to a daytime Grand Rapids Griffins game. These students were selected through a random drawing as part of our Positive Behavior Intervention System (PBIS), which celebrates those who consistently demonstrate respect, responsibility, and kindness in our schools.
The experience was more than just a fun outing; it served as a powerful reminder of the benefits of fostering a positive school environment. The Griffins game gave students a chance to bond, cheer on the team, and enjoy the excitement of professional hockey—all while being recognized for the positive choices they make every day.
PBIS is an essential part of building a culture of respect and encouragement in our schools. By recognizing and rewarding good behavior, we inspire students to continue making positive contributions in the classroom, hallways, and beyond.
As we look for ways to keep our PBIS program engaging, we invite community members to join us in supporting this initiative. Do you have items or experiences you’d like to offer as rewards? Your contributions can make a difference in helping us motivate and inspire students. Please reach out to Central Office if you'd like to get involved: 616.846.5500.
Together, we can ensure that positivity is always in season at Spring Lake Public Schools!
