Music Shines at Spring Lake Intermediate School

At Spring Lake Intermediate School--and all schools, really--the joy of music is woven into our students' educational experience from the very beginning. Our music program, which is required from kindergarten through sixth grade, offers students a foundation in rhythm, melody, and creativity that lasts a lifetime. Beginning in fifth grade, students can also choose to join band, bringing an exciting new dimension to their musical journey.

Recently, our talented fifth and sixth graders had the chance to showcase their musical skills by singing for an enthusiastic audience of family and friends. The performance highlighted the students' hard work, passion, and progress, as well as the supportive community that encourages them every step of the way.

We believe that music not only enriches the mind but also strengthens connections and builds confidence. By the time students reach the upper grades, they’ve had opportunities to explore both vocal and instrumental music, allowing them to discover what brings them joy.
