Middle School Theatre Takes the Stage with Cinderella
After weeks of preparation—both in person and from home—our middle school performers brought Cinderella to life on stage, and the result was something truly special.
From the moment the curtain rose, it was clear how much time, care, and collaboration had gone into the production. Students stepped into their roles with confidence, energy, and joy, supported by a dedicated crew working behind the scenes and adult leaders guiding every detail. What the audience experienced over show weekend was not just a musical, but the culmination of teamwork, persistence, and creative risk-taking.
Theatre plays an important role in the middle school experience. For many students, it offers a space to try something new—to speak up, move with purpose, solve problems, and work toward a shared goal. Whether onstage or backstage, students learn responsibility, communication, and how their individual contributions support something larger than themselves. These are skills that carry far beyond the auditorium.
Cinderella showcased those lessons beautifully. Students balanced rehearsals with schoolwork, learned to trust one another, and rose to the challenge of live performance—where adaptability and focus matter just as much as memorizing lines or choreography. The pride they showed was earned.
Equally important was the sense of belonging the production created. Theatre invites students with a wide range of interests and strengths to find their place, whether through acting, stage management, set design, lighting, or sound. Every role mattered, and every student was part of the story.
We’re proud of the middle school students who took the stage, the crew members who made the magic possible, and the educators who continue to champion the arts as an essential part of learning. Cinderella was more than a performance—it was a reminder of what students can accomplish when creativity, support, and opportunity come together.
Bravo, Lakers!
