Happy Retirement to Four Remarkable Lakers

This spring, we celebrate the retirement of four dedicated Lakers whose impact can be felt in every corner of our schools and community. Together, they have given decades (over 100 years, actually) of service to Spring Lake Public Schools—shaping lives, strengthening programs, and making our district a better place for all.

Whether in the classroom, on the auditorium, supporting staff, each retiree has brought passion, care, and consistency to their work. They have inspired students, mentored colleagues, supported families, and helped define what it means to be part of the Laker family.

Their contributions span more than curriculum or job descriptions. These are the educators and staff members who stayed late to listen, showed up early to prepare, cheered on students from the sidelines, and created the kind of environment where people feel seen, supported, and capable of greatness.

As they turn the page to well-earned next chapters—filled, we hope, with rest, adventure, and joy—we honor the legacy they leave behind. It’s one built on relationships, kindness, and a tireless belief in the potential of every student.
