Celebrating the Laker Athletic Center: Ribbon Cutting & Open House Set for September 10

Big news, Lakers—the wait is almost over! Spring Lake Public Schools is thrilled to announce the official Ribbon Cutting and Open House for the new Laker Athletic Center, set for Wednesday, September 10.

This highly anticipated event is about much more than cutting a ribbon. It is a celebration of the students, families, and community members who will bring this new space to life.

The evening will kick off at 5:45 p.m. with the ribbon cutting and a few remarks from district leaders, all leading to a 6:00 p.m. performance by the Laker Band, setting the perfect tone of school spirit and community pride. Visitors will then have the chance to enjoy interactive showcases hosted by Laker athletic teams, offering a glimpse of the energy and dedication that define our student-athletes. To make the event even more welcoming, refreshments will be provided, and families are encouraged to explore the building together.

Just as important, this ribbon cutting is being envisioned as a true community event—an opportunity not only to showcase the new facility but also to highlight the many clubs, organizations, and activities that make Spring Lake Public Schools such a vibrant district.
