A Sled Ride to Remember at Holmes Elementary

A Sled Ride to Remember at Holmes Elementary

At Spring Lake Public Schools, we hold our bus drivers in high esteem, ensuring our students get to school safely every day. But who knew we had a hidden gem in the form of a talented sled driver within our district?

Dr. Josh Kalb, a dedicated parent and community member, transformed the typical school pick-up into a winter wonderland experience. With snow blanketing the area, Dr. Kalb opted for a unique mode of transportation: a sled! He arrived at the snow-filled pick-up lane at Holmes Elementary, ready to pick up his children and extended family in the coolest way possible.

The delighted looks on the children's faces as they climbed aboard the sled were a testament to the joy and excitement that filled the air. Dr. Kalb's creative approach to navigating the snowy conditions turned an ordinary afternoon into a magical memory for everyone involved.

In a community where snow and cold are a part of life, Dr. Kalb's innovative spirit reminds us to embrace the beauty and fun of winter. We are grateful to him for this wonderful lesson in making the most of every season.

Thank you, Dr. Kalb, for bringing a little extra joy to our community and showing us that, even in the cold, there's warmth in togetherness and creativity.
