A New Chapter Begins: First Look at SLHS Media Center and Cafeteria Renderings
Spring Lake High School is on the cusp of a transformation—and it’s one that’s been years in the making. As construction kicks off, we’re excited to share a first look at the new media center and cafeteria spaces that will soon become a vibrant part of student life.
For too long, students have made the most of what was available, often sitting on the floor in the commons simply to find space to connect, collaborate, or study. While their resourcefulness has always impressed us, our students deserve better—and now, it’s on the way.
The newly designed spaces—part of Phase II of the 2023 Bond—are created with students in mind. The future media center will be an open, flexible environment where curiosity, creativity, and academic support come together. Whether before school, after school, or between classes, students will have access to collaborative workspaces that reflect how they learn and engage today.
Alongside the media center, the revamped cafeteria—our new "(cafe)teria"—will offer more than just updated seating. It’s being reimagined as a welcoming place where students can refuel, socialize, and feel at home during their busy school days.
This is more than a facilities upgrade. It’s an investment in our students’ daily experience—a way to better match the physical environment with the energy, ambition, and innovation we see in our learners every day.
Stay tuned as Phase II progresses. The future of Spring Lake High School is bright, and it’s being built right now.
