Mission
Spring Lake Public Schools Food Service Department believes in a food service philosophy which is simple; we cook from scratch (as much as possible) using fresh ingredients. We purchase local and seasonal products (when available). Fresh ingredients used in our kitchens are complemented with cooking techniques that preserve nutrition and produce healthy offerings for our students.
If you have comments or questions about the program please contact us, we welcome hearing from you!
Please review our back to school letter below for the latest updates regarding free breakfast and lunch for all students.

Special Dietary Needs
We are more than happy to serve exciting, fresh offerings according to an individual’s special dietary needs. However, in order for the school to make special dietary accommodations for students with food allergies, an approved medical form must be on file. Please complete the form below and submit it to the food service department.
Staff Lunches
Forgot your lunch? Too busy to pack one? Whatever your situation, we’ve got you covered! Our staff lunches are designed to fuel a busy day and guaranteed to please.
Each lunch is packed full of fresh seasonal produce, sourced from small farms and businesses across Michigan whenever possible.
Please submit your lunch order(s) by 8:00 am for same day delivery.

Online Application for Free & Reduced School Meals
For the 2024-25 school year, we are joining the Michigan School Meals Program! All students can get one breakfast and one lunch, free of charge, each day at school. Although no application is required to receive the free meal benefit, filling out the Education and Nutrition Benefits Application is still important! Your child(ren) may qualify for other benefits like reduced fees at school. Your application may also help the school qualify for education funds, discounts, and other programs.
