Senior Service Hours

SLHS seniors are required to complete 18 hours of community service during their senior year. Seniors can begin accumulating senior service hours anytime after September 1 of their senior year.
Seniors may only be granted pre-approved service hours during the summer leading up to their senior year.

Current Service Opportunities
Volunteers are needed for child care at the Holmes Parent Club meetings from approximately 7 to 9:00 pm. The first meeting is Tuesday, Sept 20. Additional dates are: Oct 18, Nov 15, Jan 17, Feb 21, March 20, April 17, May 15. Senior service hours will be awarded. Contact Heather Der Vartanian if you are available. heathdervar@yahoo.com..
Notes:
Mission trips may be considered for senior service hours, but they must be pre-approved for a portion of the 18 hours.
Parents/Relatives MAY NOT verify community service hours. All service learning hours MUST be approved through a non-profit agency.
The service hours should be completed in our local community.
Senior service hour opportunities will be listed on this page as well as in the high school’s daily announcements.
How to Get Started Completing and Reporting Senior Service Hours
Step One- Complete a Senior Service Hours proposal form for each location or time you volunteer. Click here for the form.
Step Two- Upon completion of each volunteer service, submit a signed verification form. The pdf form is attached below - just click and print. OR ask the person who supervised your volunteer service to submit an email verifying your service hours to Mr. Rabideau or Mrs. Draeger at seniorservicehours@springlakeschools.org.
